In most cases, male breast reduction is performed using liposuction, which involves making small incisions in the area to be treated and suctioning out excess fat. In some cases, however, removing excess skin or glandular tissue may also be necessary. Rarely, excess skin is also removed.

After your surgery, you’ll need to wear a compression garment to help minimize swelling. You may also have drains to help remove excess fluid from the surgical site. Most men can return to work within a week or two, although you’ll need to avoid strenuous activity for several weeks.
